How To Configure SMS Alerts for DDoS Events

Description

Customers may choose to receive SMS message notifications when DDoS events are created. 

Message Contents

SMS Messages contain the following information:

"Message from F5 Silverline. A new attack is underway, visit https://portal.f5silverline.com for details."

Environment

• Silverline DDoS
• Portal Features:
  • Reporting

Procedure

Customer Admin

Customer Admins can edit any user profile.

1.  Click company name and Users.
   
2. Fill in the phone number:
   
3. Check desired boxes:
   
   • Events - receive SMS notifications related to events (include mitigations)
   • Alerts - receive SMS notifications related to all alerts (include false positives)
   • Hybrid Signaling - receive notifications related to Hybrid Signaling Service (Overview: Integrating On-Prem BIG-IPs With Silverline)
   • DDoS Reports - receive email notifications related to daily reports (How To Receive DDoS Reports via Email For DDoS Events)

Regular User

1. Click your name and My Profile below:
   
2. Fill in the phone number in the Profile Tab
3. Switch to the Subscriptions tab
   
   
   
4. Check desired boxes:
   
   • Events - receive SMS notifications related to events, including mitigations
   • Alerts - receive SMS notifications related to all alerts, including false positives
   • Hybrid Signaling - receive email notifications related to Hybrid Signaling Service (Overview: Integrating On-Prem BIG-IPs With Silverline)
   • DDoS Reports - receive email notifications related to daily reports (How To Receive DDoS Reports via Email For DDoS Events)

SMS Message History

The history of SMS messages can be found under Audit > SMS Log.
