How To: Download WAF Violation Logs

 

Description

How to download WAF Violation Logs from the customer Silverline Portal.

*YOU MUST HAVE A CUSTOMER ADMIN ACCOUNT ON THE SILVERLINE PORTAL TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE VIOLATION LOGS.

 

Environment

  • Silverline WAF
  • WAF Policy/Policies > Support ID/Logs

 

Procedure

1. Navigate to Monitor & Analyze > WAF Violation Summary

2. The WAF Violation Summary page groups violations by Violation Type, Attack Type, and Policy Name. Users can also Search by Client IP or Support ID, or use Advanced Search.

3. There is a download button located under the panel for setting up the time frame for the violations. Clicking on the Download button will download all the newest violations

  • not filtered by e.g. any Attack Type
  • up to 250,000 newest entries).

4. If you wish to download more filtered violation logs:

  1. Click e.g on any Attack Type category and you will be taken to the next screen
  2. Optional: Filter them more by using the rules.
  3. Once done with filtering, click on Refresh button or hit Enter.

5. To download the violation logs, click on the Download button located below the rules.
