How to Request Brightcloud to remove an IP being blocked by Threat Intelligence

 

Description

  • This article is a guide to unblock an IP which has a bad reputation according to our Threat Intelligence provider Brightcloud.
  • Customer can't access Portal because their source IP is being blocked by our Threat Intelligence profile.
  • How to contact Brightcloud about IPs which have a bad reputation.

 

Environment

  • Silverline WAF
  • Silverline DDoS
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Always On

 

Procedure

  1. Go to Brightcloud website: https://www.brightcloud.com/tools/url-ip-lookup.php 
  2. Search for the IP and complete the Captcha
  3. Fill the "Request a Change" form with the following information
    • URL or IP
    • Your email: either your email or support@f5silverline.com
    • Additional comments about this request: Reason for request - For example: One of our customer is being blocked by your IP reputation database. Could you please check and remove the blocking?
  4. Complete the Captcha and hit Submit

Brightcloud will email the email that you entered about the status of this request. This could take up to 24 hours.
