Procedure

  1. Configure Proxies / Apps in your Silverline Portal  -- As part of configuration, Silverline provides either a dedicated IP address or a DNS name. The configuration steps you should follow vary by your Silverline Product service. To find the right configuration article, follow this table:
  2. Test & Verify Proxies
  3. Configure On-Premises Set-up
  4. Make DNS changes to have your application’s FQDN point to the provided Silverline IP or Silverline DNS Name.
  5. After this DNS change, application traffic will flow through the Silverline infrastructure to your applications. Responses to application Requests will flow back through the Silverline platform.

Additional Notes

  • RFC-compliant caching proxies
  • Clients connect to the proxy geographically closest to them, improving the user experience.
  • We check the health of your backend servers from each of our scrubbing centers to verify availability.
  • Each port (usually 80 and/or 443) is assigned on a F5 Silverline Proxy IP address or Silverline-assigned DNS name and are linked to the customer's existing backend server. The customer must allow access to these backend servers from Silverline networks 107.162.0.0/21, 107.162.104.0/23, 107.162.49.0/24, 107.162.56.0/22, 107.162.60.0/24 and 107.162.96.0/21.
